Hi I’m Glenn Armstrong, Chairman of the newly formed T3 (Tadcaster Triathlon Club)

Who am I?  I’m 42, married with 3 children (two of which are already triathletes – not long till the youngest one is too!)  I moved up to the Tadcaster area almost 8 years ago.  I first started in triathlon almost 17 years ago – with a sprint triathlon down in Hampton Court in 1997.  Since then I’ve raced all over the country at just about every distance and even managed to qualify as an age-grouper one year racing for GB at the Europeans in Carlsbaad.   Had a few years off, thinking I’d past my best, but started again 3 years ago when my eldest daughter took up the sport.  I now seem to train harder and longer than ever before and finally managing to get some PBs again.  Its taken me a long time to realise it – but its all about getting a training program that fits you and your lifestyle – what works for others might not necessarily work for you…  I’m now racing longer distances, did my first Ironman distance event last year – the Outlaw in Nottingham.  This years challenge is going to be another long one up in the hills of Scotland – the Rat Race City to Summit Challenge…

Anyway enough about me. ..

We have been very busy over the past few weeks putting things together and the club is now ready to go…  Why not be one of the first to join up – click on the Membership link and enter your details now…  There’s going to be lots of things happening with the club over the coming months, news and features (training sessions, tips) will be added to the site when we get them,  and I hope you will want to contribute something too…

..Glenn
